Flyer Illustrates Hikvision’s Dedication to Cybersecurity, Details the Company’s Cybersecurity Milestones
Hikvision has invested in several resources and implemented a variety of initiatives for many years that illustrate the company’s dedication to cybersecurity. In 2018, industry publication Security Sales & Integration noted Hikvision as being among “the most proactive” manufacturers in the realm of cybersecurity, citing examples such as our Cybersecurity Hotline and the Source Code Transparency Center.

Transparency and responsiveness have been the cornerstone of our cybersecurity initiatives. As far back as 2015, Hikvision has been proactive by working with cybersecurity partners to provide rapid resolutions to vulnerabilities. The company was also designated a “CNA” (CVE Numbering Authority) in February 2018, becoming one of 128 organizations across the globe with a robust vulnerability management program that has been audited and vetted by the Mitre Corporation.

Hikvision’s senior director of cybersecurity, Chuck Davis, has been a vocal participant, recommending that the security industry establish cybersecurity standards to ensure devices, especially IoT devices, are fully secure and vulnerabilities are minimized.
