In “Responding to Cybersecurity Incidents Still a Major Challenge for Businesses,” leading industry publication Security Magazine outlines business challenges with cybersecurity, according to results of a joint study by the Ponemon Institute and IBM Resilient.
Seventy-seven percent of respondents said they did not have a formal cybersecurity incident response plan (CSIRP), and almost half reported that their incident response plan is either informal or completely non-existent. Despite this, more than 72 percent feel more cyber resilient now than last year.
"Organizations may be feeling more cyber resilient today, and the biggest reason why was hiring skilled personnel. Having the right staff in place is critical, but arming them with the most modern tools to augment their work is equally as important,” said Ted Julian, VP of product management and co-founder at IBM Resilient in the article.
Discussing Hikvision North America’s cybersecurity initiatives in a recent press release, president of Hikvision USA Inc. and Hikvision Canada, Inc., Jeffrey He said: “In the past year we have put in place a dedicated North American cybersecurity team and added new cybersecurity resources for our partners. Building on our recent efforts, we're pleased to establish the industry's first Source Code Transparency Center.”
The global study is the third annual benchmark on organizational cyber resilience, with more than 2,800 security and IT professionals responding to the survey.
