Hikvision’s DeepinView Network Security Camera Wins Detektor International Award
Hikvision, based in the Chinese city of Hangzhou, recently announced that its DeepinView network PTZ security camera won the Detektor International Award for innovation.
“With this new network security camera – Hikvision takes technology beyond smart and proves its impressive innovation capability,” said a judge in the Hikvision press release.
Hikvision’s DeepinView line of security cameras improves video surveillance by using deep learning algorithms to perform feature learning and provide accurate video content analytics (VCA). The DeepinView camera features a panoramic lens and a PTZ lens to capture sharp images of objects in the distance and close-up. It can also accurately detect, recognize, and analyze humans and vehicles up to 130 feet with 99 percent accuracy.
Deep learning is a security industry trend that Hikvision North America is also leveraging. In an interview, Jeffrey He, president of Hikvision USA Inc. and Hikvision Canada Inc. said, “Our goal is to lead the way with deep learning products that provide end-users with the most reliable and accurate video content analysis.” This includes the Hikvision DeepinView security camera series and Hikvision’s DeepinMind NVR series, He added.
Since 2007, the Detektor International Award rewards and encourages research and development within the security technology field with product selections divided into three categories: alarms, access control, and camera surveillance.
