Cybersecurity Awareness Month: Empowering Smart Cybersecurity Behavior
The 18th annual Cybersecurity Awareness Month kicked off October 1! A partnership between private organizations and government, the campaign is designed to raise awareness and help Americans to be safer and more secure online. This year’s theme is “Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart.,” with a focus on several topics throughout the month including phishing and cybersecurity career awareness.
Hikvision continues its focus on cybersecurity this month, with firmware updates available on its website for recent found vulnerabilities: https://us.hikvision.com/en/support-resources/documentation/special-notices/security-notification-command-injection. This advances our mission to be proactive with cybersecurity actions, maintaining transparency and responsiveness.
Security Magazine recognized Hikvision’s Senior Director of Cybersecurity, Chuck Davis, as one of the Top Security Leaders for 2021. Acknowledged for leading Hikvision with a proactive approach to cybersecurity and key initiatives, Davis provides insight, vision, and education for a variety of security topics, including the need for greater interoperability standards as IT and physical security converge.
In the last few years, we have reached several milestones and benchmarks demonstrating our steadfastness on the integrity of our security products. With Hikvision’s technologically advanced products, ongoing educational opportunities, and a commitment to safety, we understand when everyone knows their role and executes their part, cyberattacks stand less of a chance.
