ESX 2018 Mural Project to Be Donated to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School
An art project at the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) 2018 will be donated to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, according to an article in Security Sales & Integration (SSI).
In the ESX exhibit hall, security professionals will be invited to paint a three-part mural, intended to convey positive energy and safety for students at the Parkland, Fla. school.
“We’ve seen a groundswell of interest in enhancing school security in the wake of the Parkland tragedy. There is a flurry of activity in the public sector on school safety, and in particular the use of security technology to protect students and teachers during class time. We need experienced security professionals to be a part of that conversation,” said Ryan Petty in the article. Petty is the SVP for Cable & Wireless Communications who lost his daughter in the Parkland school shooting.
The ESX conference will also feature an exhibit hall, multiple educational sessions, an opening keynote, and various networking opportunities. It will also host the panel “Stronger Security, Safer Schools” at the closing keynote luncheon on Friday, June 22.
