Hikvision Corporate Announces Visec Integration to Boost ANPR Efficiency
Hikvision headquarters, based in the Chinese city of Hangzhou, announced integration with Visec software allowing direct communication between Visec’s platform and Hikvision security cameras in a Hikvision corporate press release.
The move reduces hardware costs, eliminating the need for a computer, server, monitor and switches resulting in a standalone Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) solution that improves recording and analysis of license plates in entrance/exit management for parking sites across industry verticals.
"Visec has strategically collaborated with Hikvision to explore an efficient video surveillance solution. This cost-effective architecture allows us to significantly extend the coverage of the LPR CLOUD SA to reach an even wider customer base,” said Gary Scagell, CEO of Visec in the Hikvision press release. “The solution just needs a regular Internet connection without the cumbersome hardware, which greatly helps our clients save on their overall installation costs.”
Hikvision ANPR cameras recognize and analyze vehicle license plates and offer features such as Smart Codec, Smart VQD, Smart Detection (intrusion detection, line-crossing detection), and low-light illumination for improved imagery even in poor lighting conditions.
