Hikvision Cybersecurity Director to Speak on Panel at SecurityNext 2020 Conference
Hikvision’s senior director of cybersecurity, Chuck Davis, will be speaking on a panel with other security experts at the upcoming SecurityNext 2020 conference, taking place in New Orleans from Feb. 9-11, 2020.
SecurityNext (formerly TechSec) is an annual conference that brings top security industry thought leaders together with integrators, consultants, end users, and suppliers/manufacturers to learn about the latest trends and technologies to compete in the marketplace.
On Monday, Feb. 10, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Davis will join the panel for “Securing Profits in the Age of Convergence and Compliance.” The session will discuss the convergence of physical security, IT and IoT (internet of things), which is forcing security professionals to rethink the way they provide—and in many cases, design and maintain—products, systems and services. This leap in thinking and technology is also providing opportunities for consultants, integrators and manufacturers alike, to pivot their businesses and put themselves in the best position to profit and succeed in an increasingly competitive and quickly changing landscape.
Some key areas of focus for the session will include:
- Cyber-compliance best practices for physical security providers.
- Lessons learned from the IT world and new opportunities for physical security providers.
- What the Holy Grail looks like for security, whether or not it is attainable, and what it will take to get there.
Davis will join the panel, which includes Integrated Security Technologies president Christine Lanning; Americas strategic alliances program owner for Milestone, Brad Eck; and moderator, Pierre Bourgeix, president of ESICOVERGENT.
