Hikvision Cybersecurity Director to Speak at PSA TEC 2019 on Cybersecurity Best Practices, Protecting Security Systems from Vulnerabilities
Hikvision’s director of cybersecurity, Chuck Davis, will present an educational session on cybersecurity best practices and protecting security systems from vulnerabilities at PSA TEC 2019 being held March 11—14, 2019 in Denver.
PSA TEC is the annual security conference hosted by PSA Security Network, the world’s largest systems integrator cooperative, of which Hikvision is a member.
On Tues., March 12, 2019, at 10:30 a.m., Davis will present the educational session, “Applied Cybersecurity: The Network, Your First and Most Important Line of Defense.” In the session, he will outline cybersecuritybest practices that integrators can use to improve security, and ways to protect systems from common vulnerabilities. Davis will also discuss the importance of network segmentation as a key best practice, teach attendees how to segment their network and how to scan it for a vulnerability. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in an interactive network segmentation demo.
Davis is a cybersecurity veteran with more than 20 years of experience working in a variety of technical and management roles in the cybersecurity field. He is a member of the Security Industry Association’s Cybersecurity Advisory Board. Prior to joining Hikvision in 2017, Davis worked as an executive security architect for IBM, managing the global malwaredefense and vulnerabilitymanagement programs.
