Hikvision Highlighted PanoVu Multi-Sensor Panoramic Camera and Cybersecurity Initiatives at Corrections Conference
Hikvision presented its new detention-grade network camera, panoramic surveillance technology, and recent cybersecurity initiatives at the Congress of Correction, an annual conference for corrections-industry professionals held Aug. 2-7, 2018 at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
“Hikvision was the premier surveillance provider at the Congress of Correction conference. Our team had the opportunity to present Hikvision’s detention-grade network camera and other surveillance technology to decision makers in the corrections industry, including wardens and other administrators from various Departments of Correction throughout the region,” said Kristen Cory, Hikvision’s director of the A&E Business Development Team for North America.
In the exhibit hall at booth #404, Hikvision featured its new 3 MP Ultra-Wide Angle Detention-Grade Network Camera designed for 24/7 surveillance of detention areas with invisible IR capabilities, anti-ligature design, and improved safety. The camera offers a unique corner-mount, IK10 vandal resistant rating, and a 2 mm ultra-wide angle lens that provides a 135° horizontal and 98° vertical field of view.
Hikvision also showcased the DS-2CD6D24FWD-IZHS 8 MP Flexible PanoVu Multi-Sensor Panoramic Surveillance Camera with H.265+ compression technology to minimize bandwidth and storage space, 1/2.7" Progressive Scan CMOS, and 1080p lens resolution at 30 fps.
The Hikvision team highlighted various cybersecurity initiatives implemented over the last year, including the creation of a dedicated cybersecurity hotline for partners, an online cybersecurity center, and the industry’s first Source Code Transparency Center, which provides visibility for government agencies and law enforcement entities in the U.S. and Canada who want to review Hikvision’s source code.
The Congress of Correction is hosted annually by the American Correctional Association (ACA), and is a forum dedicated to engaging and supporting corrections-industry professionals.
