Hikvision to Showcase TurboHD, 4K Cameras with 30 fps, and Cost-Saving DF-5 Retrofit Enclosure at World Game Protection Conference
Highlights Cost-Effective Solutions, Value and Exceptional Technology for Casino Operators
Hikvision will showcase its TurboHD technology, 4K cameras with 30 fps, and DF-5 retrofit enclosure at the World Game Protection Conference, being held March 3-6, 2019 at the Tropicana Las Vegas.
The annual event hosts an expo hall, multiple networking opportunities, and various educational sessions on topics of relevance to the gaming industry, such as electronic game tables and video forensics.
At Table #8 in the exhibit hall, Hikvision’s gaming vertical experts will highlight TurboHD, Hikvision’s HD over coax solution that allows casino operators to upgrade to higher resolution HD systems using their existing coaxial cable infrastructure. This means lower costs, minimal downtime, and easier installation to maximize security and profits in the gaming industry.
The Hikvision team will also demonstrate the power of its 4K camera technology featuring high definition video at 30 frames per second. Its H.265/H.265+ compression technology will also be featured, which enables storage of high resolution, high frame rate video 24/7, 365 days a year. H.265 compression uses 60 to 80 percent less network bandwidth and storage than traditional H.264, creating a cost-effective solution for storage requirements.
Hikvision will also highlight its cost-saving DF-5 retrofit enclosure, which enables casinos to install Hikvision technology into an existing DF-5 back can, dramatically reducing labor costs to patch holes, re-cut, and install cameras in new locations.
“Hikvision is making good strides into gaming due to our exceptional technology and outstanding value. TurboHD provides the high resolution that casinos need for detailed video and imagery, while leveraging existing cable to minimize any downtime or disruption on the casino floor during the camera upgrade process. Innovative video compression technology and our DF-5 retrofit enclosure offer even more cost-effective solutions for casinos,” said Scott Bartlett, Hikvision business development manager for gaming/cannabis.
