Hikvision to Sponsor Mission 500 2018 Hockey Classic
Hikvision Canada Inc. will be a Hall of Fame sponsor for the Mission 500 Hockey Classic, its third annual hockey-themed fundraiser to be held on Feb. 15, 2018 at the Canlan Sports York in Toronto.
Members of the security industry form hockey teams to play in the tournament and raise money for charity. Last year’s tournament raised $19,000 through sponsorships and raffle ticket sales, according to the event announcement on SP&T News. All funds raised in 2018 will be donated to the Toronto Crime Stoppers’ Youth Program Initiatives.
“I’m really proud of our involvement with Mission 500, and the hockey classic is a special event where I can display my sportsmanship to raise money for a great cause in conjunction with other security industry professionals,” said Clark Northcott, Hikvision Canada distribution sales manager. Northcott has been a Mission 500 board member for nearly five years and plans to play hockey at the event.
Mission 500 is a non-profit organization that services the needs of children and communities in crisis with food, clothing, and education, in partnership with members of the security industry.
There is no cost to play in the hockey tournament however, Mission 500 is asking every player to make a $20 minimum donation. For more event information and to sign up, click here.
