Hikvision Surveillance System Secures Country Estate in UK
A surveillance system provided by Hikvision UK and Ireland helped secure a sprawling 30-acre estate in North Wales, UK.
The estate is located close to a prominent expressway, has a mile-long driveway and a cluster of buildings across the property including the central manor house. The estate owner turned to Hikvision integrator Ten Ten Systems to upgrade the existing surveillance system, and to integrate the Hikvision security system with the estate’s automated gate control and internal monitors.
“The newly installed Hikvision CCTV surveillance solution has proven to be an enormous success for both the customer and Ten Ten Systems,” said Steve Birks, managing director of Ten Ten Systems in the Hikvision case study. “The end result of the upgrade is a nine-camera smart surveillance solution which provides maximum efficiency and functionality at an extremely competitive price. Because the estate covers 30 acres, it required 10 miles of Cat6 cabling, but the implementation process was seamlessly completed with no down-time.”
The Hikvision surveillance solution includes nine security cameras and one Hikvision NVR. Internal areas are covered by 3MP ultra-low light network dome cameras, which deliver excellent image quality in poor lighting environments. The estate perimeter is secured by 2MP DarkFighter bullet security cameras and Hikvision thermal cameras. A 16-channel Hikvision NVR enables up to 12 terabytes of recorded footage from all cameras.
