Hikvision Technology Report: DarkFighterX Provides Video Surveillance in Low Light
Hikvision’s new DarkfighterX surveillance technology provides full color images in low light to 0.001 lux by mimicking the way the human eye processes brightness and color.
Hikvision’s DarkFighterX series uses bi-spectral technology to deliver improved brightness, better color fidelity, sharper edges, and greater image clarity. The DarkFighterX camera “combines the two spectrums of light to create video and images – the brightness of the IR sensors imbued with the low-light color,” according to the report, working like the human eye that processes light and color with two types of photoreceptive cells.
Hikvision’s DarkfighterX 2MP Network Speed Dome surveillance camera features 25 times optical zoom, supports H.265+ smart codec to improve bandwidth performance, and offers smart functions such as intrusion detection, line crossing, human body detection, and auto tracking using deep learning algorithms.
DarkFighterX technology is driving innovation in the North America market. In an interview with leading security publications, president of Hikvision USA Inc. and Hikvision Canada Inc. Jeffrey He said, “Hikvision’s original DarkFighter technology delivers low-light color imaging, but the new DarkfighterX brings it to a completely new level. It’s one thing to be able to see low-light color images, but to be able to see the color of clothes or color of a vehicle at night enables true 24/7 surveillance.”
