Police Foundation Director to Keynote Campus Safety East
The director of strategic studies at The Police Foundation, Frank Straub, Ph.D., will keynote the Campus Safety East conference, to be held July 18 - 20, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Dulles in Herndon, Va.
In his talk “Ripples of Hope: Building Multi-Discipline Collaboration to Prevent School Violence,” Straub will explore opportunities for innovative practices to prevent, respond to and recover from acts of violence committed in educational institutions. His keynote presentation is on Thursday, July 19, at 8:45 a.m.
Straub is a 30-year veteran of federal and local law enforcement, and served as a member of the FBI-NYPD Joint Terrorism Task Force. He has conducted multiple, in-depth studies of U.S. terrorist attacks, and is currently leading a review of the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. The Police Foundation, where he is currently a director, is a nonprofit organization that studies ways to improve policing in the U.S.
Campus Safety East is the second in a series of three Campus Safety Conferences (CSC) taking place this summer, each one a two-day intensive for administrators, public officials, technology directors and others to immerse themselves in an event focused on campus safety and security solutions.
Hikvision is an event sponsor and will feature its surveillance solutions at table #20 in the exhibit hall.
