Hikvision’s technologies and analytics help retailers large and small maximize their profits. Our products do more for less, allowing retailers to expand capabilities while meeting budget restraints. HD solutions are met through our well-known and highly-praised TurboHD product line, which facilitates the upgrade to high-definition video by utilizing existing coaxial wiring from legacy systems. Our own H.265+ video compression technology reduces video bitrate streaming from 60 to 80 percent over H.264, the current industry standard. Hikvision also does not charge retailers fees when they use HikCentral to manage multiple store locations.
Analytics also help improve marketing and loss prevention for retailers. One approach uses Heat Mapping, which provides a color-coded map that can be used to gather relevant intelligence to optimize business operations and maximize revenue. Another type of analytics employed by Hikvision devices is People Counting. This lets users know how many people are inside a store in a given time period and/or how many people may be in a queue that is forming.
