Hikvision to Showcase Surveillance Technology, Cybersecurity, in ISC East Exhibit Hall
The Security Industry Association (SIA) has announced keynotes on the topics of technology disruption and emerging threats for its upcoming ISC East conference, taking place Nov. 14 - 15, 2018 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.
On Nov. 14 at 2 p.m., the senior vice president and head of global security at Brown Brothers Harriman, Philip Halpin, will keynote “Friend or Foe? Technology Disruption and the Physical Security Industry.” Halpin will address how technology is disrupting the security industry with drones, automation and AI, as well as how data management is changing.
Retired FBI supervisory special agent, James A. Gagliano, will keynote the presentation, “Twenty-First Century Best Practices: Reporting from the Front Lines on How Law Enforcement and the Security Industry Are Confronting Emerging Threats,” on Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. His session will address responding to threats such as active shootings and bombings, providing VIP protection, and managing crisis resolution.
“The security industry attends ISC East not only for the diversity of technology solutions on the show floor, but for the practical education and thought-provoking keynotes for which the event has become known. Keynote speakers like Philip Halpin and James Gagliano, combined with more than two dozen compelling SIA Education@ISC sessions, create an exceptional content program for ISC East 2018,” said SIA CEO, Don Erickson, in the announcement.
