Hikvision Provides Cybersecurity Tips for Security Integrators
In “How to Avoid Cybersecurity Fatigue,” Security Sales & Integration (SSI) outlines tips to address security concerns by reducing cybersecurity fatigue, which is “a decrease in cybersecurity awareness and a subsequent increase in risky behavior,” according to the article.
From the article: “Cybersecurity fatigue is experienced by users who are overwhelmed by the need to stay alert to the latest threats. A good example of cybersecurity fatigue is employees re-using the same password across accounts—users know they shouldn’t do it, but often can’t be bothered to use different credentials. And it’s not just users that are affected. A recent report found that even cybersecurity professionals can be at risk of suffering security fatigue.”
A few cybersecurity tips from the article:
- Make sure cybersecurity is a shared responsibility. It’s important that cybersecurity go beyond the IT team and be a holistic effort that includes all employees.
- Host cybersecurity training on a regular basis. Conduct routine training and ensure training is up-to-date and engaging.
- Learn from other’s cyberattacks and security breaches. Understanding how security breaches have occurred within other organizations can help yours to avoid the same security concern.
