SSI Features Hikvision Partnership with Eagle Eye Networks Delivering HD Over Coax
In the article, “Eagle Eye Partners With Hikvision for Use of HD Analog Cameras Over Coax,” leading security publication Security Sales & Integration (SSI) features a high-level overview and infographic conveying how Hikvision’s TurboHD delivers solutions over the Eagle Eye cloud.
When using standard analog cabling, the cost of upgrading to HD can be significantly mitigated with HD-TVI technology, which can also deliver an affordable, high resolution alternative to IP. Upgrading to a Hikvision HD-TVI DVR will provide access to the Eagle Eye Cloud platform, delivering high resolution video without the costs associated with upgrading analog cabling.
“Integrators can typically use the existing power supply from the analog/CCTV cameras. If this is not an option, Hikvision’s TurboHD line also offers the ability to power some TurboHD cameras via Power Over Coaxial (PoC),”according to the article.
Hikvision product manager, Lou Bellock, adds that “with the addition of the Power over Coax functionality, where camera power is transported from the DVR to the camera, there is no interference with or limitations introduced to the existing Up-The-Coax (UTC) protocol feature. This is an extraordinary engineering feat to have simultaneous camera power, video and digital data communication over a single coaxial cable.”
