Steadfast Dedication: Hikvision’s Cybersecurity Center, Network Cyber-Protect Initiative, New Certification, and More!
Hikvision continues its commitment to its customers, partners, and distributors when it comes to cybersecurity. That is why Hikvision created and recently updated the Cybersecurity Center. The Hikvision online Cybersecurity Center is where you will find useful information about cybersecurity best practices, system management, the latest security notices, and much more.
Sections in the Hikvision Cybersecurity Center include:
- Important Notices
- Cybersecurity Blog/White Papers
- Learning & Development
- Cybersecurity Team
- Best Practices
- Report an Issue
- Security Notices/Updating Firmware
The center was built on a combination of cybersecurity technologies, certifications, and tools as well as education on best practices to help systems integrators.
Hikvision’s Vice President of Global Information Security, Chuck Davis, said in a recent press release, “While cybersecurity is everyone’s responsibility, as a manufacturer it is important to communicate succinctly with the people who use and install your products and software to help them maintain cyber-secure systems. Hikvision creates and disseminates content about Hikvision’s security devices as well as educational information to help people better secure their entire digital world.” He also added that “the mission of the physical security industry is to make the world a safer place, and the goal of providing cybersecurity information is to better secure the world from digital threats.”
Hikvision continues to show its commitment to cybersecurity by investing in a series of ongoing activities to support the company’s physical-cybersecurity support initiatives. In 2022, Hikvision network cameras achieved the Certificate of Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation with assurance type Eal3 augmented with ALC_FLR.2 (EAL3+).
