Hikvision to Feature New Detention-Grade Network Camera and Other Surveillance Technology at the 148th Congress of Correction
Hikvision’s PanoVu Multi-Sensor Panoramic Camera and Cybersecurity Programs Highlighted at Corrections Trade Show
Hikvision will showcase technology that helps reduce security concerns, including its new detention-grade network camera, its panoramic and thermal surveillance technology, and cybersecurity programs at the ACA's 148th Congress of Correction, a corrections industry-focused annual conference being held Aug 2-7, 2018 at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
Hikvision’s regional team will interact with decision makers in the corrections industry, including wardens, administrators, purchasing agents and other professionals, providing them an overview of industry-focused surveillance technology that can reduce correction facility security concerns at booth #404 in the exhibit hall.
Hikvision’s featured product will be its new DS-2CD6W32FWD-IVSD 3 MP Ultra-Wide Angle Detention-Grade
Network Camera, which provides 24/7 surveillance for detention areas with invisible IR capabilities and anti-ligature design. The camera’s unique corner-mount and IK10 vandal resistant rating ensures longevity in demanding conditions. The 2 mm ultra-wide angle lens provides a 135° horizontal and 98° vertical field of view and captures clear images without blind spots. Other features include 1/3" (3 MP) Progressive Scan CMOS sensor, H.264 video compression, true WDR up to 120 dB, and smart features such as line crossing and intrusion detection.
Hikvision will also showcase the DS-2CD6D24FWD-IZHS 8 MP Flexible PanoVu Multi-Sensor Panoramic Surveillance Camera with H.265+ compression technology to minimize bandwidth and storage space, 1/2.7" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor, and 1080p lens resolution at 30 fps. Video compression up to H.265+ minimizes bandwidth and storage space and EXIR technology extends the IR range to 98 feet (30 meters).
Hikvision will also highlight its thermal surveillance technology, which can detect infrared energy and be used as early detection for fire prevention, detecting a rapid rise in heat prior to a fire breaking out.
Hikvision’s cybersecurity programs will be in the forefront as initiatives to support partners and end users. This includes its cybersecurity hotline for dedicated technical support, and the industry’s first Source Code Transparency Center, which provides visibility for government agencies and law enforcement entities in the U.S. and Canada who want to review Hikvision’s source code.
Hosted by the American Correctional Association (ACA), the Congress of Correction conference is one of the largest industry events dedicated to corrections personnel, providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and development of best practices.
