Thales Data Threat Report Says Organizations Face New Security Concerns as Technology Adoption Grows
Hikvision Resources on Security Breach, Addressing Cyber Concerns
The new Thales 2019 Data Threat Report found that as organizations adopt new technologies, concerns about security grow as they work to protect data from security breaches, according to an article in Security magazine.
From the article: “Aggressive digital transformers are most at risk for data breaches, but alarmingly, the study finds that less than a third of respondents (only 30 percent) are using encryption within these environments. The study also found a few key areas where encryption adoption and usage are above average: IoT (42 percent), Containers (47 percent) and Big Data (45 percent).”
Additional findings of the report include:
- Increased use of cloud solutions has made data protection more complex. Forty-four percent of respondents said the complexity of the cloud environment makes it difficult to implement data security measures.
- 60 percent of organizations said they had experienced a security breach at some point in their company’s history.
- 86 percent of organizations feel vulnerable to data threats.
