Glasswall Report Finds Risks from Third-Party Interactions is Security Concern
Hikvision Helps People Identify Phishing Emails to Reduce Risk
Security magazine’s article, “Phishing Attacks Remain Top Concern for Security Professionals,” covers the Glasswall research report “Keeping the Enterprise Secure: A Tangled Web of Contradictions,” which found that 71 percent of respondents viewed risks from partner and supply chain interactions as a major security concern.
Glasswall surveyed senior-level executives from across the U.S. and the U.K.
Other findings from the report include:
- Security concerns about email risks from partners “top the list of potential vulnerabilities, that includes both email with attached documents and email that may include dangerous links,” according to the article.
- Forty-two percent of respondents stated that employees were vulnerable to phishing attacks. From the article: “Of that 42 percent, many report taking steps to try and overcome this challenge–providing employees with formal training, reading materials, and even using anti-phishing software to simulate attacks.”
- The top three security concerns from employee behavior included: failing to lock devices when stepping away from their desk, poor password protection, and unsecured personal devices used for work.
