New Index Benchmarks Organization’s Cybersecurity, Outlines Security Concerns Related to Security Breach
Hikvision on Roles and Responsibilities for Security Industry Manufacturers, Installers and End Users
Security magazine’s article, “New Performance Benchmark Ranks Companies' Cybersecurity,” outlines details of the Cyberhedge Cyber Governance Index and security concerns for organizations that announce a security breach.
A description of how the index works, from the article: “Five thousand companies are ranked at the beginning of each month from best to worst using real-world financial modeling and then measured on the actual performance of the top and bottom 20 percent at the end of the month. The top 20 percent receive a 5-star rating. The worst 20 percent receive only one star. The ranking methodology is based on an ongoing assessment of the quality of cyber governance for every public entity, not just those that have announced a data [security] breach.”
The index shows that organizations with solid cybersecurity governance typically outperform their peers in shareholder value, according to the article.
