To Address Security Concerns, Organizations Must Step Up Cyber Practices
Hikvision Tips to Reduce Cyberattacks and Security Concerns in Network Security, User Security and System Administration
The SecurityInfoWatch.com article, “Are enterprises paying lip service to cybersecurity concerns?” advocates for organizations to address growing security concerns by implementing additional cybersecurity practices.
From the article: “If you ask any CSO or risk officer in today’s global enterprises about the threats that keep them awake at night, almost without fail every one of them would rank cyberattacks high on that list. Even other C-suite leaders and board members would undoubtedly rank the threats posed by cyber criminals as one of the greatest risks to their business given the near weekly headlines everyone reads about the latest ransomware infection and other schemes designed to scam businesses and consumers out of their hard earned money.”
The article recommends several tips to improve cybersecurity, including:
- Determine real organizational risk by testing and asking questions to identify your firm’s vulnerabilities.
- Ascertain your organization’s capacity and risk tolerance for cyberattacks.
- If a risk is identified, take ownership of the resolution, instead of assuming someone else in the organization will.
