Security magazine covers security concerns, hacks and cyberattacks that enterprises might face in the next year in the article, “What Security Issues Will Enterprises Face in the Next 12 Months?” which covers research from security training firm KnowBe4’s 2019 Security Threats and Trends report.
“The threats aren’t going away any time soon—the bad guys are just getting more and more clever. That’s why it’s so important to build up your human firewall—your end users—to better protect your organization,” said Stu Sjouwerman, CEO of KnowBe4, in the article.
Survey respondents were asked which cyber threats posed the greatest concern to their company’s security over the next year, with email phishing scams rated the highest at 96 percent. It was followed by carelessness of the end user (76 percent), social engineering (70 percent), and targeted attack by hackers (46 percent).
Additional research findings included:
- 89 percent of respondents believe they are better equipped to handle security threats than in 2018.
- 14 percent of organizations expressed concern about an insider security attack by existing employees.
