According to an article in Security Systems News, non-profit Mission 500 will host the 11th annual Security 5/2K race to raise money for underserved children and families, with a portion of the proceeds planned for donation to Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas. The race will take place at 2601 East Sunset Road, Las Vegas on Thursday, March 19, 2020 during the ISC West show.
The Security 5/2K fundraising event is a joint collaboration of the publisher of Security Systems News, United Publications, plus ISC Events and Mission 500.
“2020 marks our eleventh year hosting the Security 5/2K and we want to thank all of the previous participants and sponsors who have made the last ten years a tremendous success. We can’t wait for this year’s event and hope to meet a wide array of new security industry participants, reconnect with prior ones, and have a great time while supporting this worthwhile cause,” said Tom Nolan, director of strategic partnerships for Mission 500, in the article.
Hikvision USA is the Kilometer Marker Sponsor of this year’s Mission 500 race. The company is also fielding a team of runners and walkers who will help raise money for the third consecutive year. You can register to participate in the race here.
Those who are unable to attend or otherwise participate in the event can sign up on the race website and donate as a virtual walker or runner.
