New Report Covers Security Concerns and Cyber Challenges Post-COVID
Hikvision on Cybersecurity Trends and Tips to Combat Security Concerns
The Security magazine article, “Major concerns and risks hindering CISOs ability to strengthen security posture,” outlines post-COVID security concerns and cyber challenges that organizations are facing.
The story covers a study by cybersecurity provider Balbix called the “2020 Cybersecurity 360 Report.”
"The findings of our report make it abundantly clear that security professionals remain inundated with the challenge of maintaining comprehensive visibility over their complex attack surface while also combatting the evolving threat landscape. In cybersecurity, risk trends can change overnight and it is clear from the survey results that infosec professionals are struggling to assess, quantify, and prioritize the most important risks to their organizations,” said Balbix CTO, Vinay Sridhara, in the article.
Findings from the study included:
- 89 percent of respondents rated phishing, web and ransomware attacks as their greatest security concerns.
- 46 percent responded that it was difficult to assess which vulnerabilities posed real threats.
- Following a critical exploit, only 58 percent reported being able to determine all vulnerable assets within 24 hours.
