Hikvision Measures in Every Phase of the Product Lifecycle Help Protect Against Cyberattacks
Hikvision has a series of ongoing activities that support the company’s aim to help protect the industry and end users against cyberattacks. For Hikvision, cybersecurity begins with the design and development stage and continues through to the product installation, which is why we integrate cybersecurity into our products and resources at every stage of the product lifecycle.
Hikvision’s Cybersecurity White Paper covers the company’s extensive controls to ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle including software development and product controls. Hikvision conducts verification and security tests at every research and development stage to scan for vulnerabilities and software bugs.
These activities include network penetration testing by leading cybersecurity experts. Our partnership with third parties such as Rapid7 and FTI Consulting enables them to conduct network and hardware penetration tests with Hikvision products to assess, evaluate, and identify potential security weaknesses.
We work with these third parties to help evaluate and verify our products to better protect end users and the Internet at-large. Hikvision has an open-door policy for security researchers or anyone who believes they have identified a vulnerability in a Hikvision product.
We also provide cybersecurity training for end users and systems integrators/installers. In addition, a range of collateral materials are available in our online Cybersecurity Center, including white papers, technical bulletins, reference guides, and more.
