Hikvision Thermal Cameras to Secure Denmark Waterfront
Hikvision thermal security cameras will help to improve safety and security along the Aalborg, Denmark waterfront. A recent Hikvision Corporate press release gives details about the project.
Hikvision security systems will improve risk assessments and use smart features to trigger notifications such as automatic recording if an incident is detected. Emergency services will be notified and live footage can be streamed to the control center to dispatch a life boat when required.
“We are working continuously to improve safety along the waterfront, and we have taken a number of initiatives towards this such as adding more lighting, more rescue stations, new ladders, and so on,” said Hans Henrik Henriksen, councilor for the planning and landscape department. “Despite this, we have found that accidents are still happening, which is why I look forward to the opportunity to think outside the box during this trial and to be innovative in this area in collaboration with Aalborg University and the North Jutland Emergency Services.”
Implementation began with the installation of Hikvision Thermal Network Camera systems and a Hikvision PTZ camera in partnership with Aalborg Municipality, the North Jutland Emergency Services, Aalborg University’s Faculty of Engineering and Science, and the security company Actas A/S.
Hikvision security systems are used routinely to improve safety within cities and ports. Hikvision USA secured a crime lab in Greenwood Village, Colo. and supported other safe city projects detailed in our success stories.
