SIA to Honor Women in Biometrics
The Security Industry Association (SIA) recently announced the five winners of the Women in Biometrics Awards, which will be presented at SIA Honors Night on November 15, 2017 at Current at Chelsea Piers in NYC.
"The annual SIA Honors Night is a cornerstone to our work at the Security Industry Association, and the Women in Biometrics Awards is an important part of SIA Honors Night," said SIA CEO Don Erickson in the announcement. "Biometrics are a crucial element of security, and the major contributions of our nominees and winners are crucial to the continued advancement of the industry.”
Awardees include Kimberly Del Greco, deputy assistant director for the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division, Isabelle Moeller, chief executive at the Biometrics Institute, administrator for the Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center Liane Moriyama, Stephanie Schuckers, a Paynter-Krigman endowed professor in Engineering Science at Clarkson University, and Frances Zelazny, vice president at BioCatch.
The third annual Women in Biometrics Award is presented by SIA and SecureIDNews.com, with applicants selected from a global pool of 100 nominees recognized for their industry contributions and who work for biometric companies, system integrators, security or IT departments, and other related fields.
