Hikvision’s Business Development Group Driving Industry-Leading Technology Solutions for Enterprise Vertical Markets
The Business Development group within Hikvision is comprised of vertical-focused salespeople charged with cultivating enterprise opportunities within highly regulated and specialized industry markets. Hikvision’s vertical business leaders have spent the latter half of 2017 developing vertical growth plans designed to provide subject matter expertise about market challenges each of these verticals face, and communicating how Hikvision’s technology portfolio can provide solutions for the end-user.
HikWire sat down with Hikvision’s VP of business development, Jeremy Howard, to learn about his team’s focus in 2018.
HikWire: Tell us about your role.
Jeremy Howard: As the vice president of business development, it is my responsibility to guide my team with strategy and support that delivers customized, integrated and innovative Hikvision technology solutions that serve the needs of the most complex industries.
HikWire: What is your team’s focus for 2018?
Jeremy Howard: Our 2018 focus is on leveraging these growth strategies in the marketplace with our vertical market expertise to enhance end-user relationships within verticals such as healthcare, higher education, retail, banking and finance, casino gaming, corrections, energy and critical infrastructure. We will be aligning with our most trusted and loyal integration partners to deliver Hikvision’s world class technology solutions to these vertical markets.
HikWire: How have your priorities changed for 2018?
Jeremy Howard: One of the most fruitful strategies from our vertical growth approach was developing deeper, more strategic relationships with enterprise VMS providers. These relationships allow for more in-depth technology integrations with Hikvision’s Pro-Series line of security cameras, thermal technology, edge-based analytics and DarkFighter low-light capabilities.
Going forward, our team will develop integrations with our DeepinView deep learning analytics, License Plate Recognition, and video wall controllers and decoders for technology deployments within security operation centers (SOCs).
HikWire: Where do you anticipate growth in 2018?
Jeremy Howard: Casino gaming and corrections are ideal markets for leveraging Hikvision’s broad portfolio of high-quality products that deliver a lot of value. For example, Hikvision has designed no-grip, anti-ligature cameras for the corrections vertical, allowing us to compete with legacy providers that have done little to enhance technology over the years. Hikvision has also developed custom, high definition cameras designed for installation in specific enclosures found in casinos. These two innovations are the result of careful market study, internal subject matter expertise which provides an understanding of what drives buying decisions within these verticals so that Hikvision can develop industry-leading solutions to meet customer demand.
